OUR NEW PATRONS
Following our triumphant world amateur premiere production of
Von Ribbentrop’s Watch,
we are thrilled that the authors,
Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran,
have agreed to be our joint patrons.
Bartholomew Players has a long heritage, having originally used Bartholomew School in Eynsham as a venue over 30 years ago. In recent years the group has been based at the lovely modern village hall. We are a small group of enthusiasts, drawn from Eynsham and surrounding villages, who delight in putting on a good show for the local community. Having said that, one of our long-standing members doesn't let the fact that he lives in Sweden most of the time put him off performing regularly with us.
Equally our reputation is such that we attract an audience from beyond the local area. Reactions like "It was the funniest thing we've ever seen" do give us a nice warm feeling about what we do.
We like to perform a good range of plays, from comedies to thrillers. We tend to leave musicals and pantomimes to others.
Our members include young and old.
We hope you'll come to one of our productions and we'd be delighted to have you join the group.
