FAQ
  • HOW CAN I JOIN?
Email us at bart.players@gmail.com or just come along on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm (excluding July and August). We would love to meet you!
  • WHERE DO YOU MEET?
We normally meet every Wednesday at 7.30pm at Eynsham Village Hall in Back Lane*. See the bottom of the page for a map. During rehearsals we also meet up on Mondays. Our next meeting is on Wednesday 6th December 2023 and then we have a Christmas break until we all meet up again on Wednesday 3rd January 2024.
  • DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE?
If you've never experienced the buzz of pulling off a dazzling performance and getting acclaim from an appreciative audience, we can give you that opportunity. We like to involve new members as soon as we can, even if that means only a small part at first.
  • HOW MANY PLAYS DO YOU PERFORM EACH YEAR?
We put on two productions a year - in May and November - and occasionally enter drama festivals too.
  • WHEN IS YOUR NEXT PRODUCTION?
Our next production is May 2024 and we begin planning it in January (rehearsals begin after our Christmas break). We will be meeting up on Wednesdays from 3rd January 2024 to read through potential plays and begin rehearsals soon after. Do come along if you would like to be involved.
  • ARE YOU JUST LOOKING FOR ACTORS?
Not at all! Of course we do welcome anyone interested in acting, but if you would rather work behind the scenes, there are plenty of roles for you to make your mark, including set-building and decorating, sound and lighting, props, costumes, make-up, prompt, publicity, front-of-house, refreshments as well as producer, stage manager and director.
  • HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO JOIN?
Membership fees are a modest £20 a year (less for concessions). For that you get camaraderie with a bunch of fun-loving like-minded people, outings to the theatre, dinners out and going to the pub, as well as the chance to do something creative that you can be proud of.
